I want to give a big shout out to Jeff Cram and our friends over at The CMS Myth for their article titled "The Real Reasons People Hate Their CMS".
Cram is dead-on in his assessment of the reasons why web content management systems fill people with so much rage, including failing to create a solid content strategy, failing to get all of the right stakeholders involved from the get-go and having inaccurate delusions about what a CMS can (and can't) do.
A lot of Cram's points are completely in line with my recommendations in my "Choosing a Web Content Management System" ebook. Every day, the Flair team helps our clients avoid these kinds of issues and remember that process and strategy are just as important as technology.
What do you hate most about your current tool? And how would you describe your content management pain level at this point in time?
